The MicroWorld will support most of the top VR headsets in the market, such as the Occulus Rift, Valve Index, and HTC Vive. While we believe that the best way to access the MicroWorld would be through VR, there would also be a bridged version of the world through a desktop program. In addition, users can also access the digital marketplace through our mobile app.

Beside VR, we are also aiming to enhance user’s experience by working on other important features. For example, the platform would soon be compatible with haptic suits that can transmit haptic feedback to the body based on what is happening within the MicroWorld. These would operate via vibrating actuators and electrical impulses that stimulate your skin receptors and nerve endings, and would allow users to have further immersion throughout their interactions within the world.

To allow users to develop and build things on their land, the Microverse team will release a scripting system that will allow users to define the behaviour and interactions of objects, sound, and apps that are running on their PLOT of land as hash content. These data will be saved on the Inter-Planetary File System (IPFS), which would allow for decentralized storage and retrieval. By doing so, the team hopes that there would be minimal downtime due to potential server issues. The costs of hosting these data would be fully borne by the Microverse team in the short-term, and a percentage of the platform’s transaction fees would go towards the fees on the IPFS network.
